Blake Garrett, Principal Broker and founder, has been an active real estate practitioner for 16 years. Blake began his career in 2004 at Sperry Van Ness specializing in NNN Retail, Office & Industrial Investment Sales.  In 2007, Blake joined Colliers International and later was recruited to Cushman & Wakefield until 2017 when he founded The Reef Group.


Blake has thrived representing private client and institutional landlords, owner users and tenants in their sales and leasing pursuits throughout Southern California and across the country.  He has successfully transacted over $850 million in sales and leasing consideration in Office, Industrial, Retail, Land, Mixed-Use, R&D, Development, Self Storage and Multifamily among other specialty assignments such as multi market tenant representation, ground leases and automotive uses.  His proficiency understanding complex market dynamics with a client centered focus is the foundation for repeat business, refferals and new pursuits.

Blake is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California and an active member and designee of the  prestigious SIOR &  CCIM Institute.  Blake sits on the Board of The Raise Foundation since 2008 and was in the 2010 class of NAIOP YPG.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development & Finance from the University of Arizona and lives in Huntington Beach with his wife, daughter and son where they enjoy many outdoor activities.

Mike DeFoe is a Director with The Reef Group providing commercial real estate investment advisory for institutional and private investors. Over his 13 years in commercial real estate, Mike has assisted his clients in the management of more than 10 million square feet of real estate across 50 assets, as well as in the acquisition and disposition of 6.5 million square feet of assets totaling $1.6 billion in transacted value.


Prior to joining The Reef Group, Mike sourced acquisitions and advised on dispositions for Buchanan Street Partners. Additionally he has worked on the investment management teams of KBS Realty Advisors, MIG Real Estate, and Jamison Properties. Mike leverages his breadth of experience - having advised on office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality assets - and institutional background in uncovering value for his clients.


Mike is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of California, an active member of NAIOP and the ULI, and a graduate of the 2015 class of NAIOP YPG.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development & Sustainable Development from the University of Arizona and lives in Costa Mesa with his wife Erica (a superstar at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage).

Nate Zoller, Senior Associate, is a third-generation realtor with multiple years of multifamily & high end residential property management, sales and lease work in Orange County.  Born and raised in Laguna Beach, Nate has a strong knowledge of the region in this ever-changing commercial landscape.  A fresh face in the commercial real estate industry, Nathan has been able to adapt his extensive knowledge of the residential marketplace into the commercial sphere. By combining his background in photography and marketing with a personable, professional demeanor, Nathan has built himself into a commercial broker who will go the extra mile to make every transaction as beneficial and seamless as possible. 


Previously at First Team / Christie’s International Real Estate in Laguna Beach, a past Editor at Surfing Magazine, and currently serves as a Brand Ambassador/"Revivalist" at Roark Revival.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California Santa Cruz and lives in Laguna Beach where he enjoys the many activities the ocean has to offer.
